Who We Are
"Rooted and Bound by Christ: Our Foundation."
Our memory is our testimony. Our message is Christ. Our mandate is to go forward together,
bound by love, led by the Spirit, and committed to Kingdom work.
Let us press forward—remembering God’s goodness, restoring our unity, and reaching for His best in 2025.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we are the Farmhaven Association.

Inspirations from The Campground
Come see the light that shines so bright;
There's more to my story in Christ's mighty sight
Come to our sacred space,
Where love and warmth find their place.
In God's embrace,
you're cherished and true,
A journey of faith waits for you.
With hope in our hearts light in our souls,
Together we’ll grow, as He makes us whole.
Inspiration abounds, let your spirit soar,
As we seek Him together, forevermore.

Campground
The campground where everything started
Where we used to be selected to our dorms even when it stormed
But today it's really not like that
And it's kind of the chitchat
I really miss how we use to draw chalk on the ground while we played around.
I remember how we use to laugh in our dorms
And our beds would always be in great form
I always loved when we use to come together at lunch
Even if it was a bunch
I really love our campground and I hope it stays around!

Our Rich History
The Church of God came to Farmhaven as a result of the call by Brother Allen Williams and his wife, Mallie. They built a brush arbor as the first site for church services, followed by the construction of a cabin and a later building. The church, originally known as the Millville Holiness Church, was destroyed by fire and rebuilt at the current Farmhaven location, with the name changing to simply the Church of God. Farmhaven ministers listed in "Mississippi Church of God 1880-1980" include Reverends A. G. Drane, Eugene Garrett, Willie Parks, T. H. Wingfield, Dickerson, Grizzel, Hosea Nash, Charles Hardy, Sister Pipens, Sister Ozie Wattleton, Horace Germany, and Isom Crockett. It is not clear how the decision was made to move the General Assembly of the Church of God Mississippi Association to the Farmhaven District. Records reflect that the original camp meeting sites were first in Meridian, then moved to Laurel, and finally to Farmhaven. A letter from Reverend A. G. Drane to the Gospel Trumpet announced that he had attended a camp meeting at the Millville Camp that was as large as the state meeting. The state camp meeting was moved to Farmhaven in 1932. Though there are no official records that can be found, general knowledge is that Rev. Eugene Garrett and his family donated land for both the Farmhaven Church of God and the Farmhaven Campground. Each year all of the churches in the Farmhaven Association come together in July. Throughout the years, our Youth Camp has brought together young people from all across the state of Mississippi. Together, we've shared unforgettable moments through games, crafts, outdoor activities, youth conferences, singing, worship, and heartfelt fellowship. The third Thursday in July continues to be our Farmhaven State Camp Meeting. State Camp has long been a cherished tradition, offering a rich spiritual and community experience for our youth and adults. Each day begins with morning prayer and includes three meals, conferences or Vacation Bible School (VBS), recreational activities, choir rehearsals, evening worship, and fellowship while staying in dormitories. The highlight of each day is gathering for powerful worship services in the tabernacle. Camp also included youth trips and community outreach in the local area. Over the past ninety-one years Farmhaven has continued to thrive with a rich history of service, dedication, community outreach, and life changing experiences. You are welcome to join us as our history continues.
